Back from Bristol!

Big up all Bristol crew!! Thanks to Kidkut and DJ Thinking for inviting me down! Had a wicked time, set went pretty well. Audio and pics to come.....

Gutterbreakz has done a little write up on the night (among others) here.

Also went to the Black Swan on sat night, to see Pinch's bassline pressure upstairs and old skool don Dave Roddigan smash it up with some classic reggae, dancehall, rocksteady and ska in the main room downstairs. With a running commentary and a story on every other tune!

10th March @ The End

Chew the Fat @ The End, back room with the Schtum sound system.

This will be a DJ set.

Hotflush Release due out March 13th

Elemental - Deep Under / Sparkle due to drop on Hotflush Recordings on the 13th March 2006.

Big up El Sid & Paul Rose for this one.

Debut performance at Noir, Bristol - 24th Feb 2006

Elemental booked to play at Noir in Bristol, 24th Feb 2006. I wasnt content to just play dubs/vinyl/cd's .... this is my chance to do something different. So from now till then, I'm stripping down as many tunes as possible and putting them into one fat Ableton Live set. And practicing like a mofo on my Faderfoxes, although I'm wishing for something bigger to be honest ... anyway, practice is the key.

elemental - Tribute / SoulFire DST003

Tribute / SoulFire, on Destructive's 3rd release

Firefly / Matador released on Funkatech Recordings

www.funkatech.com

Elemental vs Dj Mutiny
Matador
Firefly

Firefly is a breaksteppy tune that was started around the end of 2003, and Matador is a breaks tune we did to go on the flip.

elemental -"SoulFire" signed to Destructive / Pitch Black

Well, after about 8 months since my first post, I now bless you with my second, bringing some good news: elemental's last 2 tracks have been getting airplay on London's Rinse FM and getting played out at FWD>>.

First a track entitled 'SkinFish' caught the attention of SLT MOB, DJ Distance, plus Search and Destroy.

But the one that has been causing a stir is 'SoulFire', this tune got snapped up by Search and Destroy for their label Destructive Recordings. Been getting support from Search & Destroy, Vex'd and SLT, and also featured on the Hotflush mix for Tayo's show on Kiss FM. It will also feature on the forthcoming mix album "Back to the Underground," due in your shops from Nov 8th.

intro

Elemental,

one current pseudonym .... may change, as many others also use Elemental.....

anyway

This is where I will be posting about my development as a Live PA artist. It has been nearly 2 years since my intention began, and about 8 months since I really started preperations... it has taken much longer than anticipated, and may take longer still, but the will is growing!

I will be performing with Ableton Live and some MIDI controllers, plus maybe a synth, fx and small mixer if its feasible.

Style will be breaks, dubstep, jungle, broken beat, whatever feels right...

Check www.runtime-records.com for related material!!

Thats all for now.
